The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is the latest entry in the Zenfone series. The strong specs, powerful performance and price tag of its predecessor has attracted many smartphone enthusiasts, and as a result, this year Zenfone 3 zoom fulfills these promises again.

The series already contains several phones, and the Zenfone 3 zoom is delivered in a highly competent design and also incredible sporting features. The camera is not so good, but overall it is a great value phone available now.

With its name centered on the camera, the new phone by ASUS claims to combine the dual-lens optics and the best camera technology for the smartphone. The device sports ƒ/1.7 Sony IMX362 sensor and an optical zoom of 2.3 X. ASUS has strategically chosen the name to attract photography enthusiasts, but under certain conditions you will not feel very convinced of the image quality it produces. Although, the camera is good, but the way ASUS projects, the smartphone camera is not the best of the class.

Available in three different internal storage capacity options 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB, the phone provides support for the microSD card up to 2 TB. So you won't have to worry about storage, as you can extend the memory at any time you want. In addition, the device comes with 4 GB of RAM, which means you won't have to worry about delay problems even when the phone is kept under high performance pressure.

The Asus Zenfone 3 zoom comes in a beautiful 154.3 x 77 x 8 mm design. The phone features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display that gives a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which is at about 401 PPI. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which means you can be a little rough on its screen without damaging the phone screen.

Qualcomm's octa-core S625 processor allows the Zenfone 3 zoom and the smartphone is equipped with the 506 GPU. With a non removable 5000mah battery, the battery life of the phone is incredibly the best in the segment. The lack of quick charge seems to be a major drawback here, because to get this battery charged, you will still need to wait for hours. Now when the majority of new smartphones are in fast load support, not adopting technology seems to be a bad strategy by ASUS.

Despite the fact of housing a giant battery, the phone does not lose its premium looks. The unit holds plastic caps for the antennas at the top and bottom. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. ASUS has strategically placed the sensor and it is very clear that the company did not make the mistake of Samsung did. Although, placement is good, but you can't expect faster performance from the sensor on the Zenfone 3 zoom.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom sport a 12MP dual camera configuration that includes a main camera and a zoom camera with dual LED flash. For self-taught enthusiasts and video callers, there is a 13MP camera on the front panel. As the company sells the product by insisting on its camera capabilities, Asus has added several features to the camera's settings and improved image quality.

The offer is probably good because the phone has an excellent battery life, a fair price tag, premium design and several improvements on its predecessor, but apart from these qualities, the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom has nothing to convince anyone to invest money on.

The phone works on ZenUI which is annoying and dull. Or even if you don't find it annoying, it doesn't engage at all. The camera is one of the most sought-after aspects of this phone, but you can't wait for the best quality pictures of it. There is no ois on the lens of the camera zoom and the camera of the phone does not work also in the way it is advertised. Overall, the disadvantages make the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom A step-so-smart choice.
